FAQ – Promoters
How to request the opening of a “Campaign”?
Those who want to apply for funds to Pepa Loba should write to firstname.lastname@example.org indicating in the subject of the email “CAMPAIGN: Request for opening“. The basic characteristics of the campaign should be explained briefly in the body of text.
If the Campaign was received, it will always be answered. If, however, no response of any kind is received after 7 days, please contact us again.
If the Campaign is accepted, you will receive a second email where you will be informed of the next steps to follow. You will receive this second email no later than 10 days from the reception of the first email.
Why should one indicate what will be done with each amount raised from zero capital (€ 0) to the final goal when a “Campaign” is requested?
Individuals requesting a “Campaign” should make a chart indicating what points they will carry out depending on the specific amount that is collected until the end of the process. The table will show in ascending order each of the parts of the initiative that will be carried out, depending on the obtained amount. In any case, the budget of each stage must be realistic, verifiable and always start from zero capital (0€) to the total amount needed for the development of the initiative. The first of these phases should always be from 0 to 100 euros.
Pepa Loba is committed to a model of microfinance that moves away from the “all or nothing” model, so it is necessary that the people who contribute to the initiatives know at all times what is going to be done with their money, and have the biggest guarantee that their contribution will achieve its goal. Pepa Loba is a tool that seeks to facilitate the development of social initiatives, all of which generates a solidarity network that collaborates in the construction of these projects.
How to request the opening of an “Anti-Repressive Alert”?
Those who want to apply for Burla Negra’s funds must write to email@example.com indicating in the subject of the mail “ANTI-REPRESSIVE ALERT: Request for opening“. The basic characteristics of the case should be explained briefly in the body of text.
If the case was received, it will always be answered. If, however, no response of any kind is received after 7 days, please contact us again.
If the case is accepted, you will receive a second email where you will be informed of the next steps to follow. You will receive this second email no later than 10 days from the reception of the first email.
Is there any kind of time limit for the “Campaign” or “Anti-Repressive Alert” to remain open?
“Campaigns” and “Anti-Repressive Alerts” are always open for 75 days (whether or not they achieve their goal, during that period, or in advance). Once this deadline has expired, it is closed, and the process to bring the economic amount obtained to the one who launched the “Campaign” or the “Anti-Repressive Alert” begins.
How do you calculate the amount of money to apply for?
Pepa Loba does not charge any kind of commission because its object is to facilitate the work of people and organizations that fight for a fairer world.
However, the current payment methods with digital card, or transfer (or any other system), entails the charging of commissions and/or expenses, by financial institutions, that approach 2%. To this it should be added that, depending on the country and the entity, other types of tax costs or external charges may be added. Pepa Loba will in no case assume the commissions, levies or taxes, which will be borne entirely by those who launch it.
For this matter, it is recommended that the amount to be requested by the interested party should be taken into account, and add 2.5% (2% of expenses and/or bank fees + 0.5% of tax costs or external charges) of the amount to be effectively requested. As an example: If an organization intends to get 3,000€ you should apply for a minimum of 3,075€ [3,000€ + 75€ (2,5% of 3,000€)].
What is the procedure when a “Campaign” or “Anti-Repressive Alert” is accepted?

In order to receive the money obtained, a bank account must be provided, among other things.
Payment procedures to the promoter will not be initiated until the end of the 75 days of the “Campaign” or the “Anti-Repressive Alert”. From that moment on, up to 30 working days from the collection closing date may elapse, so that the promoter receives the money collected in the bank account provided for this purpose, except for causes other than Pepa Loba.

Pepa Loba will pay the obtained amounts within a period of no more than 30 working days from the closing date of the collection of the financing, except for causes beyond Pepa Loba.
Does the promoter receive 100% of the money that is collected?
No, since it is necessary to subtract the expenses generated by the bank commissions and by the levies, charges or taxes of any type that are imputed to it, to the total obtained.
Pepa Loba will not charge any commission, but neither will assume the expenses mentioned, which will be fully assumed by the promoter of the “Campaign” or “Anti-Repressive Alert”.
What happens if 100% of the money is not obtained?
Exactly the same as would happen if you get 100% of the money. Whoever promotes a “Campaign” or “Anti-Repressive Alert” will receive the amount obtained, subtracting the expenses generated by the bank commissions and the levies, charges or taxes of any kind that are imputed to it, which will be fully assumed by the promoter/s.
What happens if 100% of the amount requested is exceeded?
Pepa Loba and Burla Negra are tools designed to make it easier for individuals and organizations to carry out initiatives, projects, campaigns and actions through a tool that allows them to obtain the funding they need to develop them. Both promoters, and Pepa Loba participate in the construction of alternatives and social response through joint work and solidarity.
Pepa Loba understands that whoever promotes a “Campaign” or “Anti-Repressive Alert” has previously done a thorough analysis of what is going to be needed, and that, as a result of that analysis, requests an amount adjusted to its needs.
If this is the case, once 100% of the total requested has been obtained (and once the expenses generated by commissions or taxes have been discounted), the promoter of the “Campaign” or “Anti-Repressive Alert” will donate the surplus of the funding obtained to Pepa Loba’s common fund, with the purpose of supporting the initiatives and projects that can be developed within the association.
Does Pepa Loba charge any kind of commission from the total amount?
Pepa Loba does not charge for its services. The solidarity attitude is one of the elements that supports its functioning. The purpose is to generate a tool that facilitates the development of projects and initiatives that benefit the whole. The only thing that will be charged in the total of the amount obtained to the promoter, will be the expenses derived from the banking entity or any other entity, that are required for the processing of the economic transfer to the promoter.
What are the donations made by “Campaigns” or “Anti-Repressive Alerts” promoters used for?
Pepa Loba uses all the funds obtained, to cover the continuous expenses (servers, domains, …) or the specific expenses (travels, leaflets, …) to be able to grow in its action, as well as to promote, develop and contribute to develop projects, initiatives, campaigns and actions of alternatives and social response.
Can money from one “Campaign” be used to fund another, or an “Anti-Repressive Alert”, or the other way around?
No. Each “Campaign” or “Anti-Repressive Alert” has a specific purpose of financing, so the financial contribution made by the person who contributes to promote it will only go to it. From the moment it is finalized, each “Campaign” or “Anti-Repressive Alert” has a definite and unalterable purpose, completely independent of the others that are being developed.
Can the information on the web be updated once the “Campaign” or the “Anti-Repressive Alert” came out?
No. The textual information and images that the promoter decides to use for a “Campaign” or an “Anti-Repressive Alert” will remain unchanged from its launch until the end of it.
